She’s got that knack for interpreting vocals that only comes with having lived some of this stuff, and solid chops as a pianist, to boot. Gently swingly, eminently listenable, this album consists of a dozen covers, about half of ‘em – a little off the beaten track, but not by more than a tick or two. This will be on the ‘pod for a while, and selected tracks on the personal radio for a while longer. Very highly recommended.”
